Today, we stand at a powerful moment in our history, a moment shaped by the spirit of Modernization — a journey we have walked together over the past three years. Our Nation is stronger, our future is brighter, and our community is more united than ever before.

Look around and see the progress we’ve made together! Forty six new homes now shelter our families, providing safety and warmth. One hundred and twenty more homes now have access to clean, reliable water through our water line extension project. This is not just about infrastructure—it’s about care. It’s about ensuring that every Member of the Kehewin Cree Nation has a foundation to stand on, a place to call home, and the resources needed to thrive.

Our children — our future — have been at the heart of everything we’ve done. We built a new school for them, paved the road so they can get there safely, and brought in two brand-new school buses with a promise to continue upgrading the fleet. Our kids now have a skate park, skating rink, and will soon have a splash park to enjoy. We are investing in them because they are the future leaders of Kehewin. With every step they take, they carry the strength of our ancestors and the hopes of our Nation.

But we haven’t stopped there! We have created new spaces for gathering, for healing, and for celebration. Our new baseball diamond and the beautiful arbor for our Pow Wows—these are places where we come together as one Nation, united in spirit, culture, and tradition. These spaces are for us—for our youth, our elders, our families, and for the generations yet to come.

And we haven’t just focused on building physical spaces. We’ve been planting the seeds of economic growth that will sustain our Nation for years to come. The purchase of a 12-unit residential block in Bonnyville will bring in new revenue. And the creation of Kihew Resources Limited, our new business venture, has already started generating income, with two rigs drilling into our reserve’s land. This is our path to financial independence. This is our path to creating opportunities, not just for today, but for tomorrow and the years beyond.

But we are not done yet. We’ve got dreams—big dreams. We want more medical services right here, on the reserve, with more doctors and nurses caring for our people. This is more than just a wish; it is a goal. A goal we are determined to achieve.

We’re embracing the future in new ways. Soon, we will launch our new website and an enhanced brand presence. This isn’t just about technology; this is about telling our story—sharing the pride we take in our nation, our culture, and our vision for the future with the world.
